About Me
I’m a British writer working across alternative history, crime and transgressive fiction.
I’ve written over a dozen novels, including the Greater German Reich series, as well as standalone works like Muslamic Ray Gun and Genesis. My writing tends to explore power, violence, ideology and the darker sides of human behaviour.
Before I started writing full-time, I worked as a civil servant, a prison officer and a counsellor. Those experiences shaped how I see people—and they’ve had a big influence on the kind of stories I tell.
I’m not particularly interested in writing comfortable fiction. I’d rather write something that unsettles people, or makes them think, even if it doesn’t always sit easily.
Some of my work has been described as dark or provocative. That’s probably fair.
This site is where I post updates on what I’m working on, as well as occasional thoughts and extracts from my books.
