Welcome to the new site – intentions for the future.

Yes, I know, this seems to happen with alarming regularity. I have a website, it works for a year, and then it stops working. Call it “not getting around to renewing the site”. So this is the new virtual home for me. Shaunstafford.blog.

So we’re already in the third month of 2023 and still no book has been published. But before you castigate me for my lack of commitment, I do have two books that are so near to being finished that I can almost smell the printing press. In April, “England’s Pleasant Pastures”, the first book in my new series – Dark Satanic Mills – will be published. This is speculative fiction, set slightly in the future, and is centred around a civil war in the United Kingdom. I’ve been working on this book since the 1990s, so it’s been a long time coming. Expect a blog post about it soon.

Towards June, my long awaited science fiction novel, “The God of the Dead”, will be published. This is a behemoth of a book, and it’s taken a lot of time to trim it down to a more manageable size. Again, expect a blog post about it soon.

Thirdly, my intention is for the fifth novel in my alternative history series – The Greater German Reich – to be out this year, perhaps nearer Christmas. This one is definitely long overdue, though the delay wasn’t as long as that between “die Stunde X” and “nach Schema F”. I’ll be writing a blog post about The Greater German Reich soon.

In between all of this, there will be the second DCI Woods novel, “Exodus”, which I’m currently working on, and the fourth Alex Savage novels, “For a Few Dinars More”. Posts about those to follow soon as well. Ah, so many good intentions, so many promises. Can I deliver? Time will tell.

As always, if there are any typos in this post, let me know.
